YOU ARE NOT ALONE
“Where is God as I suffer? Where are my friends and family? Why has everyone abandoned me?”
When the fiery trials of life scorch our hearts and minds, it can be easy to feel as if we are alone. Some fires isolate us from other who are uncomfortable or simply can’t relate or understand because they have never experienced the heat of them. (and you would never want another person to go through what you are going through)
Cancer, suicide, death of a child, chronic illness, grief…and a long list of other fiery places bring us to our knees. It is easy to feel completely alone you are not!
JESUS IS WITH YOU
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”, Isaiah 41:10, NLT
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”, John 16:33, NLT
“Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”, Deuteronomy 31:8, NLT
“What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.”, Genesis 28:15
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”John 14:27, NLT
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”, Proverbs 3: 5-6, NLT
DRAWING NEAR TO GOD
As family, friends, an other people you care about slowly pull away; your relationship with God can grow or wane. He is ready and available to have a loving, supportive relationship with you. Take this fiery opportunity get to know God in ways you never knew possible. Draw near to Him and hear Him whisper in to the darkness. Let Him encourage you in ways only He can. He can and will be your source of hope and strength.
THE PRIVILEGE OF ADOPTION
These things are available to you as a child of God. Once you invite Him to rescue you from the path of sin, you become His child. If you have not yet done that, and you are interested in learning about God’s adoptions process and becoming His child you can find that here.

Jesus in furnace with them
Yes we are never alone.
I’ve spent a few days in fire. (understatement) – looking back? He never left me once.
It’s hindsight a blessing? When we can identify that He was with us in our prior fires, that builds our faith and hope that He is there in our current and future ones.
The sweetest times with Jesus are when I’ve been left alone by others. Our flesh doesn’t want that, but our spirits and souls are strengthened like no other time.
So TRUE! It is definitely a time of soul strengthening that would possibly not come if we clung to people and not God.
